3.7 Designs aids church begin 900-mile pilgrimage

3.7 Designs has announced the launch of an online catalog created to collect donations for a monumental project of historical significance which is being undertaken on behalf of St. Girard’s Church in Buffalo, New York. Plans are underway to help St. Girard’s Church begin a unique pilgrimage from New Buffalo to the Peachtree Corners area of Norcross, Georgia. More information about the project can be viewed at http://movedbygrace.com.

The plan calls for St. Girard’s Church to be moved piece by piece to its new home in Georgia. The Stone by Stone Campaign is being conducted through Saved by Grace to help raise the needed funds to relocate the church. The fundraising campaign is offering individuals, groups and organizations the opportunity to help by sponsoring naming a part of the church or an individual stone.

The catalog features over 5,000 opportunities to name a historic piece of the church or one of the stones from the church structure. Gift levels range from $250 to $3,000,000. Donors at every level will be recognized for their contribution on the campaign website and the shrine that will be dedicated when the church relocation is completed.

St. Girard’s Church was completed in 1911. The structure is a Gilded Age, one-third scale approximation of the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, one of the four major basilicas of Rome. A lack of parishioners forced the Diocese of Buffalo to close St. Girard’s in Jan. 2008.

While St. Girard was battling the effects of violent extremes in weather common to the Lake Erie area, miles away in Norcross, Georgia, the parish of Mary Our Queen had raised enough money to hire Bill Harrison of the internationally known firm of Harrison Design Associates. The firm was retained to begin work on a church to replace the temporary structure in which the congregation was holding services. The building originally opened in 1994 as a mission for the All Saints Catholic Church.

Instead of constructing a church from the ground up, Father David M. Dye suggested the parish purchase a classic church of significance and move it to Norcross. An older church would offer a place of worship beyond what the parish could afford on its own, provide more solid construction, and preserve a piece of history.

The overall style and floor plan of St. Girard’s was close to what had been envisioned for the new church at Norcross. Plans were made to move St. Girard’s Church to the Georgia parish, block by block.

The church encompasses a number of unique and historical aspects. The interior is a mix of neoclassic and baroque architecture with hints of a more modern design. The church contains travertine marble, luminous stained glass windows and Corinthian columns of granite, along with sculptures and murals.

The church represented a unique opportunity, and funds raised to build the new church in Georgia were committed to moving St. Girard’s. An estimated $15 million is needed, and more than $3 million has been raised. In addition to the stones project, additional opportunities for financial support are also available.

Located in Ann Arbor, MI, the 3.7 Designs team created the St. Girard’s website and have now built a catalog of naming opportunities for the project. Users can browse opportunities to name a part of the church by category, location or price range. The website is built on a flexible content management system which allows the church to update quantities, pricing and add additional opportunities as they arise.

Comprised of a four-man team of designers and developers, the firm works with a select group of clients to ensure each business receives the dedicated attention they deserve. They’re certified Google professionals, experts who are cognizant of the latest methods and techniques. The team has a passion for their work and approaches every project with a sense of humor and optimism.

The firm offers a full suite of services that includes website design, creation and launch. They can help with establishing an online identity, branding, logo design, and content management solutions. They offer e-commerce, WordPress, and drag and drop solutions that are user-friendly and places the client firmly in control.

The firm works closely with clients to develop a plan of action and creates a number of design concepts. They provide website solutions customized to each business, based on individual needs and requirements. 3.7 Designs launches the site, configures servers to perform and respond quickly, and sets up backups and tools that help them monitor the website to ensure optimal performance.

After the official website launch, 3.7 Designs continues to work with clients and meets with business owners on a quarterly or bi-quarterly basis. They discuss the site and ascertain which elements have been particularly successful and what should or could be eliminated. Clients are always welcome to make suggestions and ask questions to determine their options and decide in which direction they want to move in the future.

3.7 Designs launches website for eco-friendly Ferthaul

3.7 Designs has announced the official launch of the new Ferthaul website, a firm that’s responsible for some of the most innovative and revolutionary technology available in the municipal, agricultural and food industries.

Many experts have concluded that eco-friendly solutions are not compatible with industry and agriculture. Ferthaul is proving that idea is a myth with its patented iCan Loading System and iCan Agi-Pump that maximizes profitability, while reducing the carbon footprint of industries in a variety of ways.

Located in Dexter, MI, Ferthaul specializes in manure hauling and bio-solids management. The firm has been a leading provider in the transportation and application of wastewater throughout North America since 1992. The company is dedicated to providing healthier crops, restoring land composition and boosting crop yields through the utilization of its elite land management systems.

Nick Szabo is the president and CEO of Ferthaul, a well-known innovator in the agricultural industry. He’s spent the last 15 years researching, modifying and perfecting top of the line agricultural equipment to excel in even the most difficult climatic and soil variations.

Thomas Smyth is the firm’s vice-president and chief advisor. He brings a wealth of experience to the company through the agricultural industry. He’s a former president and CEO of Heinz Canada, Inc. and served as chairman of the Agricultural Research Institute of Ontario. He was also the chair of Food & Consumer Products of Canada and worked for 13 years with the Agriculture Adaptation Council.

Ferthaul’s iCan Loading System supports a 100 percent payload for spreaders and trucks in under one minute. The increased loading efficiency reduces and can even prevent the bottleneck effect typically found in large projects. Companies that rely on dirt haulers for large construction projects will see a significant reduction in the amount of wind-borne dust and allergens.

The patented iCan Agi-Pump is versatile, original and electric. The mounted pumps can be combined with an optional mixer and each Agi-Pump can easily move 500-1,000 gallons. The four-bolt hook up can be removed quickly and easily for immersion in any well hole or an under barn pump out location. The powerful system allows for the removal and spreading of thicker manure. Bio-waste can be delivered to fields and other locations that couldn’t be reached before, allowing for the use of eco-friendly manure solutions rather than chemical means. The iCan Agi-Pump is also the first choice for the removal of sludge and sediment in ponds, lagoons and tanks, as well as dredging operations.

Built and designed with efficiency and compaction in mind, the pump and loading system increase efficiency, while reducing fuel emissions through the patented delivery systems. The Ferthaul systems set a precedent within the industry, with a land management system that can haul 20 percent faster, 20 percent further and for 20 percent less, thereby reducing the world’s carbon footprint one step at a time.

3.7 Designs created the Ferthaul website. The firm’s four-man team of designers and developers is located in Ann Arbor, MI.
