More students in the New Media Driver’s License course at Michigan State University have created more YouTube videos to create commercials promoting the #NMDL class and to gain extra credit points. EAST LANSING, Michigan – November 10, 2010 – Even more students in the New Media Driver’s License course have created video commercials that inform viewers about the advantages of the class. The course is taught by Derek Mehraban, CEO of Ingenex Digital Marketing based in Ann Arbor, and Michael Lorenc, Head of Dedicated Client Service for Google Canada.
The two new videos focus on showing the various social media sites students will learn to master when taking the class. Students are taught how to effectively use sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and many more to brand themselves and their company.
A video created by AhYoung Shin, DongMin Kim, and HyunSoo Cheon flashes images of several social media sites including Facebook, Digg, Twitter, Google, and YouTube. It catches the viewers attention and points them in the direction of the class website at the end.
AhYoung’s blog: Hello
DongMin’s blog: Nick’s Blog
HyunSoo’s blog: LuvCosmetic
The second video, created by Ni Huang, Yan Zhang, and Denise Xia, shows many sites that are taught in the class. It is a creative way of showing what students will learn in the class and it also shows how the world of digital media is fast paced and ever changing.
Ni’s blog: WOW
Yan’s blog: Yan@Luxury&Fashion
Denise’s blog: Build a Better World
The information in these videos is not the only information students will learn in the New Media Driver’s License class. Lessons focus on how to use new media sites effectively, search engine optimization, digital marketing, and digital public relations.
Students can still enroll in the course for the Spring 2011 semester! The class meets at Novi’s Walsh College Campus for only two in-person sessions while the rest of the class is taught online.
